Iran vows harsh action as protesters gather

You sure would not want to get caught up in the middle of these protests, unless you are adamant about voicing your opinion. The reason for this advice is, that those protests usually result in riots, especially when the police gets involved.

Seeing how the law enforcers already surrounded the protest locations, should be enough to set off everyone's emergency lights. The possibility for the situation to get out of hand and turn in to a disaster is great; the protesters may have to make a quick exit.

If that would be the case, I can imagine them running in to the nearest buildings and stores, to try to escape. I suspect there may even be some persons among them who are visually impaired. My hope is that there are braille exit signs in those stores, so they can find their way out as well.

I can foresee this going on till late in the night. Some may have to stay in hiding until after dark. Even then it may not be safe yet to find their way home. They would need to be able to see where they are going and whether they would run in to the police or not. Some excellent emergency lighting would take care of that.

Let's hope everyone sees the light before it comes to a fight!
