An Alarming Situation
Vacation is a time for adventure, a time to enjoy, to relax, to explore and a time to come back home with new wonderful impressions and fond memories. Because most of these vacations take place during the summer and the Holidays, it is also the time when the crime rate is at its peak.
It is definitely not the time to find your home in disarray due to burglars having taken advantage of the fact that you were out and about. In order to avoid that you could have at least let one of the neighbors watch out for your possessions or even better, have a Home Security systems installed.
It is sad, but true; it is statistically proven that crime goes up when the economy is down. Forewarned is forearmed and it definitely would not hurt taking precautions to protect your home and everything in it. Your neighbors may be able to keep an eye on the property, but they have got to sleep too. An Alarm System however is on guard 24/7.
Burglary is usually a very upsetting occurrence. You come home finding almost every room in the house in a big mess and many of the possessions, which you worked so hard for, are gone. Even though all that is distressing, the mess is easily cleaned up and the material items can be replaced. What can not be replaced is the feeling of safety and security which you would have, had you contacted ADT before you left.
You may have been away on several occassions and came back with everything intact. That does not mean that you will not be the next victim. Don't make the same mistake as so many people do, by thinking it will never happen to you; it will. The big question is: When?
