New map shows 99 percent of Earth's terrain
Technology keeps amazing me. It has already come such a long way and still improves with leaps and bounds. I can hardly imagine what it must be like, to know exactly what to expect going from one corner of the earth to the other.
That should not be possible, simply because our living planet is round and there are no corners on earth. Unless scientists made an earth shattering discovery and suddenly found out that our blue planet is square. It is a possibility. It has not been that long ago when people were convinced the earth was flat.
This new map sounds really exciting, but the missing one percent got me back to earth. I can not help but wonder what happened to that and why it could not, or is not, mapped? It did not just disappear off the face of the earth.
Then I read the following in the same CNN headlines and it suddenly hit me: CNNMoney: The fastest growing U.S. city is ...
Probably the 1% that is not on the map!
