Phoenix, Arizona - Activities and Entertainment

One does not have to look far for entertainment in this major city; Phoenix offers every kind of amusement to pass any one's time in an enjoyable way. It has something to suit each and every one's taste and preference.

There are historic sites and neighborhoods galore as well as golf courses, cultural attractions and museums, parks, sports, pools, picnic areas, arts and playgrounds. Many of all these are being made accessible to the disabled as well.

There are some great outdoor activities available like guided hiking tours, fishing, horse back rides, outdoor classes for young and old and a wide array of different tours and events.

To preserve as much as possible of the landscape and to protect it from being developed, Phoenix has several beautiful parks. The largest municipal park is South Mountain Park, but if you enjoy botanical gardens and a visit to the Zoo, then Papago Park situated in the east of Phoenix is the place to go.

One thing is for sure, if you intend to see and take in as much of Phoenix and its surroundings, you better plan on taking a long vacation!
