Brides can be cheap, but not tacky
I can not be more in agreement with that. In these difficult economic times every penny counts; especially if you even like to go on a honeymoon as well. You better start saving anywhere and everywhere you can.
I don't think there is a single soul who could not understand a bride on a budget. That does not mean that the most wonderful day of your life has to turn out to have 'stinginess' written all over it. On the contrary; a little resourcefulness can even enhance the festivities and the fun.
There are the obvious money-savers, like the wedding dress for instance. Sure, every bride likes to look at her best, but does that have to be such a huge expense? Even though I am a woman, spending thousands on a dress, which will never be worn again, goes totally against my grain.
I can understand the bride does not want to cut back on that, so let's talk about the next thing on the list: wedding invitations. They do not have to be so elaborate and fancy looking. Less is more and no one will be able to distinguish the difference between cheap wedding invitations and the pricey ones anyway.
The wedding cake is another item which often comes with a nice price attached to it. With a little imagination there may be some other, cheaper options. Those also may suit some of your guests who are suffering from diabetes and can not sink their teeth in that expensive lump of sugar.
So, before you decide to send out the wedding invitations, it may be good to contemplate on some alternative wedding ideas, other then the traditional ones. Think outside the box. It might turn out that you not only find a good deal when sealing the deal. It may also leave you with many more fond memories and an increases budget for the honeymoon!
