Obama hosts night of stargazing

That is another no or low cost activity that you can do any time and don't have to travel for. In case you like to do it 'in style', you need to find the nearest observatory and keep a close watch on the weather. Pick a date when clear skies are forecast, unless you rather like to observe clouds with a silver lining.

I can totally understand why Obama would host this night: it is a relaxing, peaceful and laid-back activity. It does not require much preparation either. If you put some snacks and soft drinks out on a table, you are set. You don't even need to make arrangements for chairs. Like I mentioned before: it is a 'laid back' activity. A lawn may do just fine.

So, if you like seeing stars, step out on the lawn, patio or balcony. If you choose to see them up close, then find a telescope and knock yourself out!
