Thousands in Philippines Flee New Typhoon

The Philippines have already been hit hard by a Typhoon and a second one may be pounding on the more then 7,000 islands in the Western Pacific Ocean right now, or in very short order.

The diversity in nature is typical for this beautiful group of Islands; they are mainly formed by volcanoes and covered in lush rain forest. Many active volcanoes can still be found here.

Because of those many islands the Philippines offer a wide range of white, sandy beaches. Along with the great diversity in culture, its rich history and gorgeous nature the Philippines are every tourist's paradise.

Due to its location, the Philippines are right in the path of Typhoons and are prone to many earthquakes, although most of them are very minor.

It is sad to see how much damage the previous Typhoon already did. As if it was not enough yet, there is another one on the way. Hopefully it will turn out to be a breeze, literally. Reminiscing on the impact hurricane Katrina had on the Gulf Coast, it will take a long time before everything is repaired and restored.

Maybe we can lend a helping hand, huh?!
