Hotel Silken Puerta America, Madrid, Spain Part 2

The Silken Puerta America Hotel in Madrid, Spain, creates the illusion of entering a totally different world with every one of the 12 stops the elevator makes.

The designs are not just noticeable at first glance of the floors and rooms, but throughout the entire interior of the rooms as well; blankets, bathrobes, towels, etc., are all in accordance with the theme.

All rooms are equipped with a queen or 2 twin beds, a control panel for light and windows, LCD Flat-screen TV and panoramic views of Madrid. You will have to pay extra for wireless high speed internet access when staying in a Deluxe room, but it is available.

The last is complimentary with the more costly rooms, including chocolates upon arrival, mini-bar filled with soft drinks, a suit pressing service, daily newspaper, and one free, daily movie. The prices range from $141.40 a night for a deluxe room, to a whooping $4151.10 per night for the Presidential Suite.

After done exploring the hotel, you can relax at the indoor pool, Turkish bath, terrace and garden, admire the view from the top-floor bar, or savor some of the Spanish dishes served at the hotel's restaurant.

Since the hotel is situated outside of the city, you shouldn't expect to find much in the near vicinity. Public transportation is close by though and will take you where you want to go.

One thing is for sure; you would be in for a colorful vacation!
