Winter Vacation: Deer Valley, Park City, Utah, Part 2

Deer Valley in Utah has got more to offer then just skiing, although that is the main reason why most people plan their stay here.

During the winter season, which is planned to end this year on the April 15th, you can partake in other activities such as snowboarding, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating, cross country skiing, snow tubing, Heli and cat skiing, hot air ballooning, and historic tours to name a few. Even for those with limited mobility there are plenty of activities around.

In case you like to ski, but don't know how, then no worries; you can learn the trick of the trade from private instructors at the local ski school and even the kids can take some skiing classes at a ski school which is specifically designed for them and slopes and ski-lifts for beginners are plenty and off limits to snowboarders.

Lift tickets for the entire day cost $96 for adults and $21 for children below the age of three. Senior citizens and children in the age range between 4 and 12 pay a little less.

Season Passes for this season are $2,025 for the first adult, $1,670 for the second adult, $990 for seniors, $885 for teens 14 to 17 years of age, children 4-12 cost $510, and for toddlers the price is $135, but you may get one or two passes for free upon making reservations.

I came across hotel rates for as low as $134 per night, but that is rare and you ought to expect much higher prices when opting for hotel accommodations or a rental. Yes, luxury has its price, but that doesn't outweigh the benefits and joys of a unique experience!
