Heavenly Mountain Resort, California

Heavenly ski resort, which is located in California and overlooking Lake Tahoe, is a beautiful destination to visit and vacation.

With its diversity in terrain and landscape, it caters to both the beginning and more advanced ski-fanatics and snowboarders, but it also offers a wonderful, diverse landscape for many more activities.

The easily to reach resort consists of 4,800 acres which are stretched out over the California-Nevada state lines and offers 97 runs, 30 lifts, four base facilities, and a gondola running from the resort to the shore of Lake Tahoe.

A third of the area is reserved and developed for skiing and snowboarding and with an average snow fall in this area of around 360 inches per year, there is no lack of this cold, white, needed substance to make your way down.

Ski season commonly runs from the middle of November to the end of April/ beginning of May. In case Mother Nature is not very cooperative then one of the largest snowmaking systems in the U.S. will provide the necessary snow to descent at the required and/or desired speed.

In case you are going to take advantage of the snow and like to experience the beauty and thrill of sliding down the slopes of the mountain, you have the choice between varieties of terrains. Ranging from easy, well-groomed runs for beginners, to technically challenging steeps for experts, you will find it all at the Heavenly Mountain Resort.

Should you rather engage yourself in other activities then you came to the right place as well; there are activities galore and not just during winter season!
