More Info About The Eden Project, Cornwall, United Kingdom

The developments at the Eden Project in St Austell, Cornwall, in the United Kingdom are still going on. The latest addition was The Core, which opened in 2005.

The Core is a space for exhibitions and education. It has classrooms where you can learn all about the Eden Project and its relationship between people and plants, such as the environmental and medicinal uses.

It doesn't stop there; the Eden Project got permission in 2010 to build a geothermal electricity plant that will not only generate enough electricity for their private use, but also for approximately 5000 households.

It is definitely a project to put on your list of things to visit. It is open every day except for Christmas, but the opening hours can vary at times due to events, and for the plants sake. The regular opening times are usually from 10am to 6 pm where the Biomes are concerned. Parking and ticket desk open earlier.

The prices are around $35.50 for adults, $28 for students and 60+, and around $16 for children age 5 to 16, when you buy the tickets at the desk. You are cheaper off when buying them online. Adults pay around $33, students and 60+ a little over $25 and kids from 5 to 16 a little over $14 for an open ticket.

You also have the option to obtain a dated ticket online. Prices for those are around $30 for adults, close to $24 for seniors and students, and $13.50 for children in the above mentioned age group. You can even get a small discount when you go on foot, by bicycle, or use public transportation. Children 0 through 4 can enter for free.

Don't forget to stay until darkness falls. You would miss out on an enchanting view of the Eden Project when the lights come on!
