Exploring New Zealand

One of the advantages of the Internet is not only having quick and easy access to information, but also to making friends across the world.

One of our best buddies lives in New Zealand. She got married recently and invited us to her wedding.

We would have loved to attend, but our health wouldn't allow it. What a shame, because opportunities like that are few and far between.

New Zealand consists of two major islands; the North and South Island which are divided by the not very wide Cook Straits. There are also multiple smaller islands and those can be found mainly in the south-west Pacific Ocean.

The landscape is so extremely divers and offers breathtaking views. From snowy mountains to lakes to luscious green forest and more, New Zealand has it all and I can totally imagine someone would want to live here permanently.

That shouldn't present much of a problem. Whether you like to live surrounded by Mother Nature or in one of the vibrant cities, there is enough choice in housing and money-saving New Zealand Home Loans available.

It would be up to your own preference where the climate is concerned on which island you would like to settle down.

The South Island gets snow on a regular basis while the North Island is an excellent choice for sun-lovers. Both islands generally experience an overall mostly warm, wet, and mild climate throughout the year.

It sure would be an ideal place for retirees, but even the younger ones among us with a more active lifestyle would enjoy living here. I don't think the latter would have much difficulty finding a job and they could always take advantage of the services of recruitment Agencies.

You may not have been aware of it, but most of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed here.

As a matter of fact, New Zealand has slowly but surely turned into the new Hollywood. More and more films are produced here and some great examples of this skillfully and unique art can be admired on the Video Production Auckland website.

I can assure you if we had attended the wedding, we would have explored the islands of New Zealand to the fullest. It may have taken more then just a couple of weeks since there is so much to see and do, but this once in a lifetime experience would have been well worth it!
