Kate's Lazy Desert, Landers, California

In case you rather like the assurance of bathing in sunshine and being close to nature then Kate has got an app for that too, so to speak.

In the High Desert in Landers, California, located close to Joshua Tree and Palm Springs, you can stay in one of her six vintage Airstream Trailers. These trailers are also completely restored and renovated according to the 50s era and offer a one of a kind experience.

You have the choice between the 'North to Alaska', 'LAVA', 'TIKI', 'Hairstream', 'Planet Air', and 'Tinkerbell' Airstream. Each one comes with a full bed, a bathroom, a small kitchenette, air conditioning, a hammock, a small BBQ grill, coffee maker, and basic cooking utensils.

The trailers are not suitable for families, because they only offer accommodations for 2 adults. Another thing to keep in mind is to bring plenty of groceries with you or to stock up at the grocery store right before you reach your destination.

The same goes for the trailers at Kate's Lazy Desert as it does for the cabins and suites at Kate's Lazy Meadows: there is no maid service available, but you will get more then enough towels to last through your stay and the trailers will be clean upon your arrival.

The prices for the trailers may seem a little steep; $175 per night from Monday through Thursday and $200 per night for the weekend, but that is more then made up for by the rather remote, uncrowded, amazing location and gorgeous desert views!
