Halloween Family Fun At Sleepy Hollow, New York

Even though the haunted trail and the maze are not suitable for young children, let that not prevent you from taking them to Sleepy Hollow for some good, old-fashioned Halloween entertainment.

The entire family can listen to the storytellers which are scattered all over the vicinity, participate in the Haunted Hayride, all kinds of fall activities and colonial games.

Be sure to stay until darkness falls across the land, so you can admire the lights from over 5,000 carved pumpkins at an event called the Blaze.

The sound effects and synchronized lighting will leave everyone in awe and so will all the unique carved pumpkin scenes and sculptures.

The tickets cost a few dollars more on a Saturday, but on other days you will pay $18 for grown-ups and $14 for children age 3-17. Members and children under 3 are free at any time.

In case you like to participate in the hayride, you can still buy tickets online until noon today. After that, you can buy them at the ticket booth which is located in front of Village Hall. Ensure to bring cash, because checks are not accepted.

When you buy your ticket in advance, it will cost you $20. Purchasing them on the night when you plan to enjoy the ride will cost you $30. You would do well to get there early since the hayride is based on a first come first serve policy and waiting times can run up to 3 hours.

You will not experience one moment of boredom when visiting Sleepy Hollow. On the contrary; be prepared to be thrilled!
